About Clarke & Allen

History

Charles Allen became a self-employed gardener in 2001, after 10 years landscaping and gardening for other companies. Clarke and Allen was formed as a limited company in 2003.

The company name is an amalgam of Charles Allen and Penny Clarke who is now my wife.

Over the last 15 years we have built up a wide range of expertise and all staff hold a range of qualifications awarded by NPTC, City and Guilds and Lantra. 

At Clarke and Allen we have three teams:

• The Tree and Landscaping Team,
• The Garden Maintenance Team and,
• The Mech Team. 

At our dedicated Holmer Green workshop, near High Wycombe, we have a fully equipped servicing and repair department and a trade counter for the sale of parts, gardening tools and small machines.

Tree and Landscape Team

Charles Allen and Les carry out fencing, tree pruning and hedge removals, stump grinding, complete garden makeovers, patios, turfing, construction of garden rooms and sheds

Garden Maintenance Team

David and an apprentice cover a large area of South Bucks ensuring our list of private client’s gardens are cared for over the seasons. 

Mech Team

Based at our workshop in Holmer Green, mid-way between High Wycombe, Amersham and Beaconsfield, workshop manager Steve has over 25 years’ experience and provides a friendly and professional repair and servicing of garden machinery.

Office Support

Sandra provides office support ensuring your enquiries by email or telephone or in person to our Trade Counter are answered promptly.  Sandra coordinates with Workshop Manager Steve, schedules work, sends out estimates, invoicing.
